I thought I would start 2023 by showcasing a frame I completed in October 2022 for Witney Town and Aylesbury United football legend, Peter Hutter. The shirt was presented to him during his time at Aylesbury back in 1988 by England striker Gary Lineker as recompense for Peter receiving a bit of a black eye during the England friendly that was arranged prior to Bobby Robsons team travelling to the 1988 Euros in Germany. The frame includes photos, the programme, entry ticket, and a newspaper cutting, and was given to him by his wife Sue for his 60th birthday.
I’ve finally put together a bit of memorabilia for my boy Benj Taylor highlighting last seasons FA Cup televised moment for Banbury United v Barrow … unfortunately they lost, but they did themselves proud and eventually ran away with the league title, with Benji playing a major part in what was an excellent squad of players and management. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to the new season

I was asked by Pete Salt to repeat a framing that I recently completed for our group administrator Joe Cockcroft, which included all of his Oxford United programmes relating to their 1986 Milk Cup run and his fathers match ticket. The attached photo shows the final product, complete with engraved plaques supplied by Witney Trophy Centre, which Pete is well pleased with

Found some old boxes of memorabilia in my loft recently and decided to frame something of my own for a change … l remember it like it was only yesterday, so can’t believe it’s over 40 years ago that I had my 180 minutes of fame … played for Clanfield on the Saturday against Didcot and lost by loads, but must have done something right as I impressed then Coventry scout (and future manager) John Sillett who recommended me to be selected for Coventry City reserves v Man City on the Tuesday after just one days training, followed by selection to play away v Newcastle Utd at St James Park on the Saturday. Didn’t play too bad considering, but only covering for injuries so never a chance of anything further once everyone was fit as playing behind Jim Blyth (Scotland keeper), Les Sealey (RIP .. ex Man Utd and one of the best trainers I worked with), and a young Steve Murcott, who was the only fit professional keeper on their books at the time and playing in the first team. But had a great 12 months experience regularly training with internationals, and playing in the Cov youth team with many colleagues who went on the play at higher levels.
So, my advice to my own kids and to any young player of any sport is to always enjoy and make the most of your opportunities and play the best that you can as you never know who may be watching, and also make sure you ‘obtain 🤫’ as much memorabilia as you can … which might seem uneccesary at the time but you never know when you might want to show off your own history when others (especially your own kids 🤨) don’t believe you later in life 😂👍🏻.
Finally, after months of cancellations due to bloody COVID , I’ve been able to complete a training course on creating box framed memorabilia, which has given me the tools to complete the attached test project of showcasing my sons old football boots and photos. Lots of lessons learnt in trying to get the best end result, and I’m now confident in adding these creations to my framing portfolio.
Thank you to Colin Priest for asking me to once again frame some signed football shirts for him. Two items completed … Arsenal shirt signed by the squad to commemorate their last match at Highbury, and a second Arsenal shirt signed by Gunners legend Tony Adams …
My good friend and local footballing legend ‘Sir’ Peter Foley recently asked me to re-frame one if his old ROI shirts that I originally completed for him as one of my very first projects. Pete has found a programme and medal that refers to his involvement for ROI in the Toulon tournament back in 1979, and I hope the revised frame complete with team photo shows off his memorabilia as he would like. Thx Pete
Thank you to Colin Priest for asking me to once again frame some signed football shirts for him, this time an England shirt signed by the squad from the Sven era …

Back in December 2020, Oxford United asked its supporters to submit nominations for fans who they felt had served above and beyond during the difficult times being experienced, with the winner receiving a signed match edition Poppy Shirt.
The first winner selected was Oxford Utd supporter Laura Sanders, an NHS nurse helping to raise funds for the charity, Dreamflight (www.dreamflight.org)
Laura got in touch with me earlier this year to ask if I could frame her shirt, with photos, and I attach with this post the end product.
Please take the time to read Lauras story via the attached Oxford United web link, and watch the video of her presentation with a surprise guest.
And if you are feeling generous, I believe the link to her Just Giving page for Dreamflight is still active ...
Thank you Laura for giving me the opportunity to frame your shirt, and good luck with your future ventures.

A massive Happy 50th Birthday to my good friend Tim Hodgetts. It was a pleasure to find and frame an actual Ipswich Town FC shirt (No'4) from his 1985/86 Academy era and present it to him on behalf of his family and friends. Hopefully the photos also brought back good memories of years gone by, especially the team photo ... Thanks to all who helped and contributed ...

A little momento put together for my son Benj Taylor to remind him of his time at Hartpury College and University 👍
Idle hands .... currently working on framing anything that I can find to keep www.nicktaylorframing.co.uk occupied, including this shirt that has been hanging around in my daughters wardrobe for a few years waiting to be put up on the wall. It's a Duckington FC shirt worn by my daughter Charlie Taylor during her early footballing days, expertly coached by Christophe Thessieu and Jon Clarke back in 2009/10. Strangely, in those days Charlie seemed to be one of very few girls playing football in the boys Witney & District League .... how times have changed (for the better ....)
Had a little time on my hands over the weekend to complete a little bit of memorabilia for my daughter Charlie Taylor , who is about to embark on a 4-year soccer scholarship in Kansas (once everything settles down). Good luck for the future Chaser, and enjoy every minute.
Time on my hands to complete a few pieces of family memorabilia that have been hanging around in the workshop ... this is for my son Benj Taylor, and is his American International College soccer shirt from last season. And just in case you think that being number ‘0’ means that a player is bottom of the pile, note that in US soccer ‘goal-tenders’ are actually numbered ‘0’ or ‘00’ 😂😂. Strange 🤔🤔
Thank you to Oxford Harlequins RFC for trusting me to frame two old shirts for their recent Open Evening. Here is a picture of Neil Hopper, Chairman of Oxford Harlequins RFC, alongside the completed shirts of the two clubs that formed Oxford Harlequins back in 1996, Oxford Old Boys RFC and Oxford Marathon RFC.

Best wishes: Cath"

Thank you to Southampton RTC U16s star Keira Skeels for trusting me with her prized England shirt, given to her after her England Womens U17s and 'Player of the Match' appearance in October against Scotland U17s in the UEFA Championship 2017/18. I hope you like it, Keira, and I am sure there are many more PoM performances to come.
Thank you to another talented Southampton and England U16 girls footballer, Ella Morris, for allowing me to frame her debut England shirt. Congratulations Ella, more appearances at all levels to come in the future I'm sure.
A sad night for the Southampton Girls RTC as they say goodbye to their excellent Technical Director Lois Fidler, who is leaving to join the FA as their Womens Talent ID Manager, a role that is well deserved. And on a personal note, I would like to thank Lois for all her hard work and commitment during the 18 months that my daughter Charlie Taylor has been part of the Southampton set-up. I have never once heard Charlie complain or ask to miss training, and the elite responsibilities and discipline instilled into the coaches and the players by Lois has made our weekly travelling commitments worthwhile. All the best in your new challenge, Lois, and I am sure you will give the FA a bit of a shake-up when it comes to women football, I think they need it.
Thanks to my good friend Michael 'Pudge' Cross for allowing me to frame his Letcombe FC club shirt. Hope it hangs well in the clubhouse Mick 👍
